What is Besa?
Besa is an Albanian cultural concept that goes beyond a simple translation. It represents an unbreakable promise, a code of honor that has defined Albanian identity for centuries.
When someone gives their Besa, they are pledging their word, their honor, and their trustworthiness. It is a sacred bond that cannot be broken under any circumstances.
Our festival embodies this spirit of Besa — creating a space where trust, honor, and unity bring people together across cultures and generations.

Rexhep Rexhepi, 25 – Founder of Besa Festival Driven by a deep passion for bringing people together, Rexhep founded Besa Festival as a vibrant space where Albanians and diverse cultures connect—celebrating art, food, music, and a shared sense of identity, no matter where they are in the world.
Our mission is to keep culture alive — not just in memory, but in celebration.
